Kennesaw ga Information: Kennesaw GA is a fairly small city but has more packed into its acreage than most big cities do! Kennesaw is directly north of Atlanta straight up Interstate 75. It is probably a 30 minute drive in normal traffic. Kennesaw is an old city - it has a lot of civil war history and many battle sites and a war museum to prove it. Kennesaw's Town Center Mall is a large indoor mall with many popular stores. Since its inception the whole Barrett Parkway corridor has become home to many satellite malls up and down a 1 mile stretch. You would have to be shopping for a very unique item to not be able to find it somewhere in this maze of hundreds of stores, restaurants and shopping centers. Kennesaw is also home to Kennesaw State University. Although this school started out as a small community college - it is now a very large university with a student population that rivals the top colleges in the state. It has a first-class business school, gorgeous new student dormitories, and easy access with its location just minutes off I-75. Kennesaw is also home to Kennesaw Mtn National Park. It has great walking trails, views, and historic battle sites scattered throughout. Upscale neighborhoods have sprung up all through the city but affordable housing is still plentiful and many homes under 200K can be found. If you are in the market for temporary housing - Kennesaw boasts many beautiful apartment complexes and some condominium rentals. Also if you are visiting the area several suites motels and inns can be found especially in the aforementioned Town Center Mall area. Cobb County schools have an excellent reputation and have been one reason why families are attracted to this area. Many neighborhoods with community pools and tennis courts can be found and there are parks, recreational facilities and Lake Allatoona not far away. It is a great area to live and has just about everything to offer to just about everyone. Including affordable prices.
